Richard Ordway Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1995 by the friends and family of the late Richard Ordway, a former faculty member of the Science Department. This scholarship is intended to support gifted students who are studying geology or astronomy at SUNY New Paltz. The applicant must be a fully-matriculated student at SUNY New Paltz and a declared major or minor in geology or astronomy. First priority will be given to students who have high achievement in astronomy and/or geology courses at SUNY New Paltz. Also required is a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the major and one written recommendation from a faculty member who has knowledge of the student’s work.
