Dr. Richard A. Panman Memorial Scholarship

*This award in honor of Dr. Richard Panman, Professor Emeritus of Psychology, was established in May 2000 by his wife, Sandra, his two children, Lisa and Seth, his friends, colleagues and students. May this stand as a tribute to his many years of dedicated service and help us to keep the ideals he stood for alive and thriving at SUNY New Paltz. Richard will always be remembered as a man of wisdom, compassion and embracing smile. He lives on in our hearts. This candidate must be a senior majoring in psychology with a minimum 3.0 GPA, or have made an outstanding contribution to psychology. The applicant must demonstrate financial need (preference will be given to first generation college students). One letter of recommendation is required from a faculty member who has direct knowledge of the student’s work.
