Heinz Ahlmeyer, Jr. Emergency Scholarship for Veterans and Returning Military

Established in 2017, to provide emergency support to veterans and returning military whose ability to continue at New Paltz is threatened by changed financial circumstances, such as loss of United States veterans’ benefits or loss of financial aid eligibility.

Recipients of the Heinz Ahlmeyer, Jr. Emergency Scholarship for Veterans and Returning Military will be selected by the Office of Veteran & Military Services in collaboration with the Office of Financial Aid.
Criteria:
1. The scholarship recipient must be a U.S. Military Veteran or a U.S. Service member.
2. The scholarship recipient will be a full-time or part-time (taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester) fully matriculated SUNY New Paltz student pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree.
3. Awards are not renewable but applicants may reapply each year

There is no application to this fund, inquiries can be made with Financial Aid and the Veterans and Military Services Office.
