Resnick Nursing and Life Sciences Endowed Scholarship

The Resnick Nursing and Life Sciences Scholarship was established, in part, to assist Ulster County and neighboring counties overcome a shortage with nurse practitioners in the Hudson Valley. Should the Nursing program be revitalized, first preference would be given to students seeking a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Otherwise, eligible students should be studying in life science fields such as biology, chemistry, biochemistry or environmental sciences.

To be eligible, applicants must:
a. Be attending SUNY New Paltz as a fully matriculated, full-time student enrolled in a life science major such as biology, chemistry, biochemistry or environmental science or seeking their bachelor’s degree in nursing.
b. Hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher
c. Submit a statement explaining why they chose their major and how it connects to their personal passions and future career goals.

Preference will be given to eligible candidates who are residents of Ulster County or graduates of SUNY Ulster (Ulster Community College). Other counties within the greater Hudson Valley region in New York State may also be considered.
